Al Jazeera, the channel which busted a fixing scandal last week, has denied to meet the officials of ICC. In addition to that, the channel has also denied to provide unedited footage to the apex cricketing board, which it had asked for. “I ask Al Jazeera to release to us all the material they have relating to corruption in cricket. We will conduct a full, thorough and fair investigation and will ensure no stone is left unturned as we examine all allegations of corruption made in the programme. To do so, we need to see all the evidence they state they possess,” David Richardson, CEO of ICC had said in a statement, urging the channel to give the video to ICC so as the board can take a step against players who involved in the whole saga.
However, the channel has denied to meet the board officials and said provide any video regarding the matter, “It should also be borne in mind that in certain respects the broadcast puts the ICC itself under the spotlight, although we are confident that this will not ultimately be a bar to cooperation in due course,” a spokesperson from the channel said.

As per the documentary of the channel, three Test matches involving India were fixed. The three fixed matches are India vs England in Chennai, India vs Australia in Ranchi and India vs Sri Lanka in Galle.
In fact, the video had also shown the Galle curator agreeing to doctor pitches to benefit the bookies. He was all set to doctor the pitch for another match involving England later this year. However, the channel exposed the curator and he was suspended by the Sri Lanka cricket board.
The documentary also claimed that few of the England and Australian players were involved in the fixing scandal, which is a major concern for ICC, Cricket Australia and England Cricket Board. As of now, the name of any player is yet to come out as the documentary hasn’t released the name of any of the players involved.
